Ready or Not, Christmas Is Coming

Christmas—whether you really love it, secretly dread it, or fall somewhere in between—shows up the same time every year, as unavoidable as your aunt’s fruitcake.

But next season, don’t stress your “elf” out. Be ready with this amazing planner designed to help you get a handle on the holidays. Stay organized (and sane) when you put expectations aside and choose to focus on the things you truly want to do during Christmas.

You’ll be amazed at what you can accomplish with just a little more organization and less obligation. The simple projects in this book will help you stay on schedule so you can spend more time enjoying your friends and family instead of frantically trying to cobble Christmas together at the last minute (again).

. . . . . . . . . . .

Over the years, I have become so disorganized. I can’t figure out how, because I used to be super organized, but I have, so a book like this one is always on my radar.

The Christmas Project Planner is a good book for anyone who is somewhat disorganized about Christmas. I did feel the book was pretty general and basic about Christmas organization, but it does give you a push to become better prepared for Christmas starting in November or even earlier.

As someone who doesn’t have large groups of people visiting me for the holidays, this book really didn’t help me that much. A lot of what was covered was for someone dealing with large gatherings, long Christmas card lists, and lots of Christmas presents. I’m actually happy that isn’t me. But, I did get a few tips and tricks out of it.

The author made me chuckle a few times too, reliving her own Christmas experiences. I especially laughed at her recollection of asking for Trapper Keepers over Keds and a Madonna tape one year. I’m pretty sure I was the kid asking for the Trapper Keeper, Keds, and Madonna tape!

Overall, it was a quick and fun read. And while I did enjoy it, this self-help book wasn’t written for me, so I’m giving it 3-1/2 out of 5 stars.

Thank you to NetGalley for sending me an uncorrected proof in exchange for my honest review!
